Brookfield Christian School offers a balanced curriculum that develops the social, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each child. Primarily, we use the A Beka Curriculum with a strong emphasis in phonics, a challenging math program that is support by Christian principles. This program has been developed and refined over a period of 50 years and used in schools throughout our nation and other countries. Supplemental curriculums are used to enhance the learning process.
Our curriculum has been developed to cover all seven domains:
- Language Arts
- Mathematics
- Personal and Social development
- Social Studies
- Science
- Art and Music
- Physical Development and Health Education
Computers and a foreign language are included in our program. Our programs are structured to include teacher-directed and child-centered learning. We believe both methods are necessary for children to become self-regulated learners and to develop a sense of competence and positive feeling about learning. Children are provided with a wealth of learning experiences to reinforce concepts at Brookfield.
